About me
As you most likely guessed, my name is Maxime but I go by Naylors online. I'm in my third year of Game Design, currently at Brassart Lille.
I'm mixed; my mom is Senegalese, and my dad is France. Even though I've went to Senegal more than once, I was born in France. I'm originally from the north-east of France.
I've played video-games since I was very young, first with the Nintendo DS, and then with the Wii which is kind of my childhood console.
At the same time, I was spending 4 years of my life practicing french boxing.
I loved narrative games, which I started really enjoying on the PS3 with Beyond : Two Souls.
However, while growing up, I started developing an interest for PvP games, and a great taste for the feeling of competition.
I started getting passionate about game balancing, and how it pretty much defines how fair is a game as long as there's PvP.
This was when I knew I wanted to make games.
Today, I'm still in love with both types; solo narrative games, or PvP games; but I love being challenged in a game that requires good skills with mechanics.
I'm the type of person that likes to try new things ; I think that it's more than a "fomo" thing, but that it is how you discover new innovating things, despite having to be prepared to get disappointed sometimes. So of course, I love trying some indie games here and there !
I'm now pretty proficient in Unity : touching Sound Design, programming, implementing assets, UI/UX Design...
I'm also learning Lua, currently working on a Roblox PvP combat game as a programmer.
